As president and founder of The Capital Gold Group, Michael Boateng leads a growing team of real estate agents representing buyers and sellers of distinguished properties throughout Maryland, District of Columbia, and Virginia. With millions in closed sales, including the highest sold property in Potomac in 2018, he is recognized and admired for his extensive market knowledge, dynamic negotiating skills, strong work ethic, forward-thinking marketing, and unparalleled service. Michael is a highly sought-after industry speaker and coach, who has been profiled as a thought leader in many publications and on podcasts.

Michael and his firm maintain an impressive five-star rating from his clients, and he has been recognized on annual lists highlighting the best in customer relations by the International Properties Awards, and The Potomac Developers and Builders, among others. Michael was a cyber security analyst at Discovery, a multi-billion dollar communications company now owned by Warner Bros. He has two undergraduate degrees, including in Cyber Security Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, where he graduated first in his class.

Michael grew up in Ghana and understands first-hand the effects of child poverty on our society, globally. He is the co-founder of Future Leaders, a local non-profit which serves those children in poor communities. He is actively involved in the local community and volunteers within his church. For every home closed, Michael makes a generous donation to help people in need. He resides in Potomac with his wife, three girls, one boy, and a rescue dog.
